Call me a traditionalist: I like my Christmases cold and snowy. There’s something about a nip in the air and a dusting of snow on the trees that make little white Christmas lights even more magical. And hot chocolate tastes best when you’re bundled up (either in a puffy coat outside or a soft quilt inside).
Granted, the last time I experienced an actual white Christmas was 1988. Since then, I’ve had to learn to appreciate all-weather Christmases.
Fortunately, my love of tiny white twinkle lights cannot be squashed even by sunny skies and warm breezes. No matter the weather, festive decorations help us get into the holiday spirit. Above are a few fabulous displays from across the meteorological spectrum.
If it can’t snow, at least it can sparkle.
